June 3, 2022, 5:30-7:00: Celebration and Reading of Another World at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center
Gallery Walk
June 3, Friday, 5-8 p.m.
BMAC is open late and admission is free during Brattleboro’s monthly Gallery Walk, a first-Friday community celebration of all things artful. At this month’s Gallery Walk, local children take part in a poetry reading under a tent outside BMAC. The children’s poems are featured in Another World: Poetry and Art by Young People, an anthology edited by Ann and Tony Gengarelly that features work created by students at The Poetry Studio, the Marlboro, Vermont, studio where Ann Gengarelly has taught poetry since 1995.
Ann Gengarelly is a poet-in-the schools, a creative writing teacher, and the director of The Poetry Studio. She was the head teacher for the Head Start Program in New Haven and has designed and presented professional development workshops for teachers.
Tony Gengarelly, Ph.D., is professor emeritus of art history and museum studies at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and the Director of the Jessica Park Project. He has edited and written two books on the art of Jessica Park, Exploring Nirvana and A World Transformed.
